Your Second Visit to Our Perryville Practice
Your second and subsequent visits for your current condition will not take as long as the first visit. A follow up visit will typically take 10 minutes with the doctor. If you need an interferential therapy your visit will take an additional 20-30 minutes. Dr. Rickels will want to discuss your response to her care. She will be interested in finding out how your symptoms responded to your correction. For example, she will want to know if your symptoms improved and if so how long, did you experience no change at all, did your symptoms change in presentation, or did you notice changes in other areas. Your feedback is important!
Tailoring your care
If Dr. Rickels believes you are responding positively to her treatment plan she will continue with her care. If not, she will respond accordingly. Utmost in most patients’ mind is how long it will take to resolve their problem. Everyone responds to chiropractic care in their own fashion. It’s often difficult to determine exactly how long it will take to resolve your problem(s).
We’ve seen some tough problems resolved in a few visits and we’ve seen some problems that look relatively minor take considerable time to settle down. Dr. Rickels will do her best to give you an outlook on how long you might expect your care to take. Each return visit will build on the last and we will continue to recommend return visits until your problem resolves or you reach maximum improvement. At that point in time you have to make a decision. You can choose to return for follow-up care to maintain your improvement or wait and simply call us when you have any problems in the future.
Once your time with Dr. Rickels is over we will check you out at the front desk and reschedule you if required. At any time you have questions about your care or your billings please do not hesitate to ask.
